family
owned
business, Asha Industries as presently constitued was born
in 1979. Founded by Mr. Murlidhar Chhabria, who has pioneered the
manufacture of playing cards in India, and has been associated with
this industry since 53 years, the company grew from strength to
strength.

Year 1982 |
|
Mr.
Deepak M. Chhabria, current C.E.O. joined the company as "Print
Production Manager" and in the next decade or so the entire
production facility was overhauled to include the latest technology
and equipment to prepare the company for the challenges of the 21st
century.

Year 1988 |
|
A
global player, one of the first in Asia, with top brands in domestic
market emerged to take on the challenges of the new world. A competent
production team in place, and entire production process automated,
it was time to move forward.

Year 1991 |
|
In
his new avatar as C.E.O. Mr. Deepak M. Chhabria, under the guidance
and vision of his father focused solely on marketing the products
overseas. This was another milestone as prior to 1991 playing cards
had never been exported from India.

Pioneering
the export of playing cards from India, Asha Industries grew
year on year expanding markets from middle east to Africa, Europe,
Eastern Europe, The United States, Central, Southern and Latin America.

The Beginning of A New Millennium |

In
the years upto the millennium Asha Industries emerged as a truly
Global Company. Albeit privately held, and family owned, with a
dedicated team of professionals, offering comprehensive personalized
service to all customers.

In
the new millennium the growth continued, defying the global recessionary
trends with year on year growth increasing every year, almost 80%,
of the business came from repeat orders from existing customers,
but steadily new markets and new customers were begin added each

Our website and perhaps the most expensive and valuable web site
for the world-wide playing card and gaming industries started getting
record no. of hits each day. It was time to present our company
to the world on the internet in its new avtaar.
